Lemon Dressing Recipe

I love using lemons in recipes. It adds a nice fresh tang and lots of nutrients. Lemons are also very alkalizing in the body (to be healthy, you want your body to be alkaline).

This dressing recipe comes from Hallelujah Acres. As with all dressings, it's easy to prepare. Why buy store-bought with all the extra ingredients when you can make it fresh in a few minutes.

There are only three ingredients in this recipe: lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and raw honey.

I used a lemon-infused extra virgin olive oil for its mild and hint of lemon flavor.

I recommend using raw honey with its intact nutrients and alkaline-forming properties. Once you heat the honey, it becomes acid-forming and you kill much of the key nutrients.

Lemon Dressing

Yield 4 Servings

Category Salad Dressing

Ingredients
6 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 Tbsp raw honey

Directions
1. Combine ingredients using a whisk to mix well until honey is thoroughly blended.
2. Lightly drizzle over your favorite fresh salad.

I love to drizzle this dressing over my veggie salad as a change from the vinegar, olive oil and spices I usually use for dressing.

  1. I didn't know TJ's had organic raw honey. Going to have to put that on the shopping list this week, because my farmer's market wants, like $400!

    :) I kid.

If you have a moment today, please share this with my readers @Creative Juice. Hope to see you there!

  2. Hi Nicolette, I love TJ's. They're proof that a grocery store doesn't need to be the size of an acre to have all the healthy food you need.

I also linked the yummy Lemon Dressing recipe to your Creative Juice post.

  3. I think the main purpose of these recipes is for you to eat vast amount of veggies and fruits than oil and fat rich foods like meat. To help you boost your alkaline level, try these high alkaline recipes.
